In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of a real ‘Tease Trailer’?   ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],Develop The dark side and past images of the character. Exploring the complex view of the character. Giving the audience the black and white shots of the characters dark side gives them something to wonder and think about, why is she like this? What has happened to her? How has she ended up like that? This leaves the audience wondering and wanting more and that is exactly what a film trailer is meant to do.  ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]
How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary tasks? I Think I kept to the brief I was given and the influence I had chosen with my ancillary tasks. I think if I was to produce this ancillary task again, I would have had an image of a dance movement distorted to highlight that it is a dance film I have produced and this would advertise better. I think this works well with the tease trailer as it relates to the film poster and the end image of the trailer which means audiences can relate and will automatically know what film this is advertising.  I think the film poster gives a clear advertisement for the film, it carries all the conventions a poster should for example, Tag line, title, main actors, main image and a creative crew list at the bottom. I think this works well with the tease trailer as we see a clear movement pose and it looks as if from the glowing light at the front she is on a stage. It gives enough clues but also holds back for audiences to keep guessing so they will go and see the film.
What have you learnt from your audience feedback? “ Good sense of flow in the opening montage”   “ The blend of wide angle and close ups are good” “ Only 1 character - so you don't show a range of representations” “ Some shots in the montage still too long”   This was something I had improved on throughout the editing of my tease trailer as to begin with the shots were fairly slow and long but I managed to cut some scenes down and speed some shots up to make an effective montage, and from the feedback it clearly paid off to keep working on the shots.  I had always found production work the hardest when it came to the advanced portfolio and working on my own meant that I was doing everything, I think my camera skills have improved a lot over the period of filming I did for the tease trailer as the feedback about my shot choices is positive.  This was a comment that was raised a lot while I was editing and filming for my trailer. I wanted to specifically show a contrast to other trailers as the character was the most important person we needed to see or know about at tease trailer stage, I hoped this would make the audience wonder how, who or why she had ended up like this and make them interested to see the film when it was released.  Throughout my editing stages my teacher had an issue with a certain shot (Right hand picture) and everyone else in my class gave positive feedback on it and liked the shot, therefore I went with the majority vote rather than the minority.
